Immediate Tax Reporting for Spain

Allowing companies in Spain to transmit document electronically for tax reporting

Overview

The growing and increasingly complex regulatory environment challenges businesses to transform transactional data into predefined exchange formats and transfer it electronically to external systems, such as the systems of legal or tax authorities. The Spanish Tax Authorities have announced the incorporation in 2017 of a new tax control system called “Immediate Supply of Information” (Suministro Inmediato de Información –S.I.I.). By this new system, certain taxpayers will have to provide the data related to invoices to the Tax Agency electronically in real time.

The eDocument framework is intended for SAP S/4HANA and SAP ERP customers who require more efficient automated communication of business transactions to legal authorities across many countries. It enables you to transmit business transactions, orchestrate communication, and monitor the document flow in a central cockpit. It helps organizations to do the following:
  • Reduce the total cost of operations by providing one solution with an end-to-end approach that supports multiple contract partners.
  • Reduce the set of tools by integrating multiple monitors, configurations, and processes into one unified user experience.
  • Guarantee data consistency by integrating the back-end (SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA) and third-party systems into one globalization network.

The following diagram of the solution illustrates the basic architectural pattern using the eDocument on either SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA on-premise and SAP Cloud Platform Integration for Electronic Invoicing for Spain.
